Although there are many different kinds of tea, they can be divided into 2 major categories, black tea (Orange Pekoe) and green tea. While both types come from the Camellia Sinensis plant, black teas are allowed to ferment, while green teas are steamed to arrest fermentation. This is why the two types of tea are so different in flavour and colour.

Under these 2 categories there are other groupings such as Tetley's Specialty Teas, which are in fact flavoured black teas (like Tetley Earl Grey). And it may surprise you to learn that herbal teas are not teas at all because they contain no tea leaves. Herbal teas are made from roots, seeds, flowers and berries and are caffeine-free. Our Green teas are created in the Asian tradition. And our Organic teas are made without any artificial ingredients.
